The 2nd Regional Applications Center (RAC) workshop was hosted by NASA Goddard Space Flight Center's Applications Information Sciences Branch on September 17-19, 1997.

The workshop was attended by 16 existing, new and potential RACs, FIU being one of the new RACs. We provided information about the environmental needs of our regions and shared our future plans and goals to meet those needs. We learned about the myriad applications being run at other RACs around the country. The Workshop was very informative and gave us a new and broader perspective as to the goals that we can accomplish as RAC.
