SeaWiFS
Several megabytes of simulated SeaWiFS
(Sea Viewing Wide Field-of-view Sensor) data (deployed by NASA), have been derived from one day's reading of the SeaStar
satellite using eight different sensors to capture global ocean color.
Also, some new SeaWiFS data sets which consists of satellite measurements
of global and regional ocean color data have been obtained by the Sea-viewing Wide Field-of-view Sensor in orbit on the
OrbView-2 (formerly SeaStar) platform. This new SeaWiFS was launched August 1, 1997 by a Pegasus XL launch vehicle.
We currently have about 60Gb of SeaWiFS data.
